Financial Wellness

Financial Navigator Program

Born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Financial Navigator initiative helps residents by providing remote (phone) assistance in navigating critical financial issues and making referrals to other social services and resources. A trained local Financial Navigator provides structured guidance over the phone to help people strategize around federal, state, and local resources for disruptions to their income and other financial concerns. The Navigator helps residents triage financial issues, identify immediate action steps, and make referrals to other services. The program covers topics such as:

  • Meeting daily living expenses like housing, utilities, food, and insurance.
  • Maximizing income through accessing benefits, emergency cash assistance, and emergency loans.
  • Managing debt from credit cards to student loans to child support.

Currently, the program is only available to Glynn County residents.

The first step in signing up for this free service is to fill out an interest form by visiting www.finnav.org/glynn. Once the interest form is received, the Navigator will reach out to you to start the conversation.
