COMMUNITY INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
You can see firsthand how your dollars impact our community by joining the Community Investment Committee. Each year the committee of approximately 25 members collectively spend hundreds of hours learning about the amazing work of local organizations, reviewing funding requests, and making allocation decisions. The United Way of Coastal Georgia volunteer Center works to foster and develop volunteerism by promoting benefits, building local capacity, providing leadership on issues related to volunteerism, and connecting individuals and groups with opportunities to serve. COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
United Way of Coastal Georgia’s Community Leadership Council (CLC) was started to enhance leadership skills and increase diverse volunteer participation in local nonprofit agencies. With 8 training sessions and a year-long internship, the program aims to identify, train, and place diverse leaders into nonprofit board and leadership positions throughout the region.
